Previously located in the Wood Street Market in Walthamstow, Homies on Donkeys moved to a larger venue on High Road Leytonstone in 2023. The award-winning taqueria, one of the top ones in the country, offers creative combinations of authentic ingredients that come together to form unique and enticing food. With graffiti-filled walls and hip hop tunes, this is a warm and easy-going place where you stuff your face with your hands, no cutlery required or even offered. The menu is simple – tacos, tacos, and more tacos.

The best Mexican food in London. Been going here since they were little more than a stall in Walthamstow and they just keep getting better thanks to the chef's endless tinkering and strive for flavour. Can’t stop eating the totopos, the refried beans are incredible, and all the different tacos are always excellent. Love the vibe of the place too - so vibrant and you can see they put a lot of thought into it. The street art interior is amazing and the hip-hop soundtrack is banging without being distracting.
