If you've got a sense of humour, a thick skin, and you enjoy quirky dining experiences, put Karen's Diner on your restaurant bucket list. You can sample signature burgers, wings, shakes, and cocktails in a cute 1950s-style setting. That's where the niceties end – staff and customers are encouraged to be rude to each other. Expect a unique experience but not great service or a warm welcome. The Barnet diner is located at The Hadley Hotel and also offers a Karen's Hotel experience – the same rude service rules apply, but the package also includes one night in a unique Karen's room plus a meal in the Diner and breakfast the next morning.

Awful! I understand that the idea but it was just terrible, the amount of swearing even though the restaurant was full of kids, there was no banter, it was pure insults and a lot of shouting, nothing funny at all. Honestly not to sound like an actual Karen but it was awful. The website suggests you shouldn’t take kids after 5pm well I would say don’t take them at all. It was foul mouthed language non stop. It wasn’t funny. The food was terrible and overpriced. We stayed 45 minutes and left.
