MiMi Mei Fair
MiMi Mei Fair is a popular destination for high-end Chinese cuisine. There's a vibrant turquoise exterior that entices diners into the elegantly-decorated restaurant with multiple dining rooms, including private spaces. The menu aims to explore cooking throughout the ages. Expect refined dim sum and main dishes with sophisticated ingredients like beef fillet, lobster, and Alaskan crab.
Spread across three floors of an unassuming Georgian townhouse in Curzon Street, MiMi Mei Feir is conceptualised as the private residence of an empress tasked with safeguarding Chinese culinary secrets. The ground-floor dining area is inspired by Beijing's Forbidden Palace and features snug leather booths, marble counters, bespoke chinoiserie cabinets, and other opulent flourishes. Upstairs, you can take in the vibrant, colourful setting as you lounge about on velvet banquettes, while those in search of a drink can head downstairs into the mirror-panelled Moon Bar.
The à la carte menu at MiMi Mei Fair celebrates the rich and varied heritage of Chinese cuisine through an assortment of premium dishes such as Peking duck or lobster noodles, accompanied by egg fried rice and other classic choices. Caviar is available as well, along with other high-end ingredients such as Wagyu and black truffles.
In addition to serving lunch and dinner, the Mayair restaurant also offers a Chinese take on afternoon tea, with treats such as prawn spring rolls and pineapple upside-down cake. You can upgrade your experience with champagne for an added bit of luxury too.
