Mystic Burek was born out of its owner Spasia's attempts to recreate the comforting burek phyllo pastries her Macedonian grandmother used to make at home. Picking up steam as a delivery business on Instagram, Mystic Burek opened its first bricks-and-mortar site in 2023, selling handmade burek pies with various fillings, baklava, and other Balkan snacks and treats.
