We have categorised the cuisine at Parsons as:
- Fish
- Seafood
Few places have incited such a feeding frenzy among London seafoodies as Parsons, a compact eatery with tiled walls and small tables bringing a hint of maritime leisure to Covent Garden. The menu features both whole fish and dishes prepped using the bounty of the deep, for example, smoked salmon with Guinness bread, but with a menu dependent on the catch of the day, it’s best not to plan in advance. The oysters are a given, though.
Any menu that switches up based on what’s just been caught gets our vote. It just means that you get to come back time and time again and experience something totally new. Although it’s likely to be some top-notch, quality fish served with something carb-based such as potatoes.
The restaurant itself is small and cosy, and, as for the aesthetic, it’s bright with sleek white tiles contrasted with oak panelling, with a marble island where beer and wine are served. Fun fact: the name Parsons is dedicated to the mums of both owners, Will and Ian, who happen to share the same maiden name.
