Rails Restaurant & Little Bar

Previously known as Plum + Spilt Milk, in 2022 the restaurant and bar underwent a complete redesign with a new concept to boot, becoming Rails. The name is a reference to the restaurant's location close to King's Cross St Pancras, whilst the French-influenced British cuisine served here acknowledges the proximity of the Eurostar. Designed to be accessible, the cooking is intended to appeal to the international crowd that the area attracts.

At Rails you'll discover an intimate and homey space to relax with modern European food. Expect a soft glow from table lamps, art on the walls, and attentive service that makes you feel at home whether you've just arrived in London or this is the last stop before you leave. Of course, London's permanent inhabitants are just as welcome here too. The venue includes a bustling restaurant as well as a separate bar area where you're welcome to stop by just for a drink.

The menu here is simple and curated, with starters such as cured meats from Kent or Jerusalem artichoke soup. A small selection of mains are available but a big draw is the grill section. If you choose grilled meats from Rail's you're guaranteed freshness – what's on offer depends on the meat available that day but you can expect tempting cuts like a free range pork chop or rib eye steak. If you fancy a cocktail there's lots to enjoy, including classic, sparkling, and original options. Having a decidedly French influence, you can also expect a variety of French wines and liqueurs.
