The restaurant was launched in 2016 by brothers Martin and Christoph Lange, who grew up around their parents' restaurant, and though today its Martin and his partner at the helm, the lifelong familiarity with the restaurant industry shines through. It's a place where comfort is as important as flavour, and where friendly staff make first-timers feel as welcome as regulars. Salut's dining room has a relaxed, almost living-room energy thanks to its vintage furnishings and glimpses of the open-kitchen in the corner. Big street-facing windows flood the space with light, while dimmed copper lights, slow music, and candles bring about an intimate, romantic ambiance come nightfall. Private hire of the restaurant is possible as well.

The kitchen at Salut! takes advantage of local meat, sustainably sourced fish, and organic vegetables to serve modern European cuisine with subtle Nordic, French, and German influences, all plated in a way that feels fancy without being fussy. A thoughtfully compiled wine list makes for the ideal accompaniment.
