The 10 Cases

Starting out as a compact French bistro in 2011, The 10 Cases in Covent Garden aimed to offer a more relaxed, unpretentious and fairly priced space for wine connoisseurs by ordering only ten cases of a shortlisted selection of wines at a time. Though the establishment has expanded in the years since, not one wine has appeared on the list twice.

The Bistrot a Vin area of The 10 Cases still retains the founding ethos of fine wine and food at great value and in an entertaining environment, offering a limited but changing list of vintages from all over the world. The space is furnished with an eye towards simplicity and a warm, welcoming ambiance. The bar serves small plates of French specialties. The menu changes on a monthly basis, but might include items such as mushroom risotto, steak frites or charcuterie jam doughnuts.

Next door to the Bistrot, The 10 Cases’ Cave a Vin is a wine bar, shop and cellar that boasts a much larger wine list, including more than 300 bottles from around the globe that can also be purchased to take home. Despite the expanded wine offerings, the Cave a Vin follows in its parent bistro’s footsteps with a cosy space for relaxed socialising in the company of fine vintages. It’s reserved for walk-ins and offers cheese and charcuterie boards to go with the drinks, but you can also order from the bistro’s menu.
