The Jam

The Jam is a King’s Road eatery that’s noted for its unique design. Established in 1972, a visit to this Italian restaurant means you can experience one-of-a-kind decor and service. This place is noted for its sense of unadulterated fun, with innovative seating arrangements made up of multi-level booths. Whilst it’s well-established, the surroundings have been updated over time. It’s now a modern space with wooden panels and exposed lightbulbs.

If you’re seated at one of the higher tables the only way to get there is up a ladder. Unleash your inner child as you climb up the treehouse-like structures and survey the view of the whole restaurant. Spare a thought for the serving staff – they have to climb up the ladders with your food and drinks in tow!

The menu here is packed full of crowd-pleasing Italian options. As well as the seating, The Jam is well-known for its range of sourdough pizzas, with toppings like truffle mushroom pesto, San Daniele ham, and buffalo mozzarella. If you’re not into pizza then lots of other small and large plates are on the menu too – opt for gnocchi, risotto, chicken casserole, or steak. Order a couple of small plates to share or to make a meal for one. Vegan and gluten-free dishes are available too.
