Just down the road from Old Street Station you'll find The Sichuan, a classic Chinese restaurant presided over by an accomplished chef.

As a third-generation chef whose grandfather was the personal chef of Chinese Prime Minister Deng Xiaoping, Zhang Xiao Zhong has cultivated a love of cooking and the cuisine of his native Chengdu since a young age. The award-winning chef, whose career highlights include being head chef at the acclaimed Hutong in The Shard, now showcases the full breadth of his expertise through a varied menu of authentic Sichuan specialities prepared without any MSG flavour enhancements. Signature dishes include traditional grilled fish, dry hot pots, and more. A lengthy assortment of dim sum is available as well.

The Sichuan offers a pleasant setting for a tasty Chinese meal, with its East London-style exposed brick walls complemented by Chinese artwork and lanterns. The spacious restaurant also offers a function room for up to 40 people, fitted with a high-quality karaoke system to add some fun to your event.
