Situated within Manchester235 Casino, the James Martin Restaurant is one of the best spots for modern British cuisine with a creative twist.
Helmed by celebrity chef James Martin, it offers a menu that combines classic flavours with some innovative techniques, including dishes like steamed wagyu ox cheek pudding, Thai crab risotto, and seared West Coast hand-dived scallops. What's more, it’s not too expensive. A five-course tasting menu can be enjoyed for around £38 per person, with their lunch slots also being reasonably priced, offering a lighter selection of dishes for those who want a quick yet satisfying meal before or after playing.
Palm Beach Casino, London
Our third pick takes us back to London. Located in Mayfair, Palm Beach Casino’s restaurant – simply known as ‘the restaurant’! – offers a diverse menu inspired by Indian cuisine, Southeast Asian, and Middle Eastern dishes. Signature dishes include tandoori salmon, balti curry, and a Middle Eastern mixed grill platter that will honestly make you feel like you’ve teleported to a souk in Dubai. The menu is not only rich in flavour, but it’s also surprisingly accessible in price, especially considering the Mayfair postcode.
