I booked a table for 2 people five days in advance, until Easter Sunday at 20.30. My friend tipped me off on Easter Sunday morning that, according to Facebook, it would be closed 11-5 p.m. I checked my email for some information, but there was only one email from Patricia confirming my booking. Just in case, I called at 12.02 to check that everything was ok. The answering machine announced that on Easter Sunday it was open from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Since the answering machine person talks very quickly, I called again. I had understood everything correctly. I assumed that this then also applied to the restaurant.
But. Since I had received many different bids from Patricia, I also called at 17.07. I asked if it was open according to my booking. I then received the answer that it was closed and that this was communicated to me, by email and phone. I asked when someone would have called me and got an answer around 8pm on Saturday night. I checked and had no conversation then. The waitress then claimed that I entered the wrong number. I have of course checked and the correct number was entered. When I pointed out that even the answering machine gives the wrong information, I was told that this was not the case. This, however, backed the waitress from. When I pointed out that Patricia has a poor grasp of her communication channels, I learned that everything works perfectly on Patricia.
As a guest, I have no problem with a restaurant being able to make mistakes. It's just apologizing, like for me and everyone else when we miss things. This was out of the question. The waitress wished me a good day in corona times and threw on the phone.
