Le Caprice was an iconic London restaurant for decades, from when it opened in 1947 to its closure in 2020 during the Coronavirus pandemic. It was quite the celebrity hotspot too, welcoming names like Princess Diana, Elizabeth Taylor, Mick Jagger, and Kate Moss. Some of the magic will be returning to the capital next year – restaurateur Richard Caring has confirmed that Le Caprice will be opening again in 2025.

The restaurant's former site in St James's is now occupied by Arlington, so the new incarnation of Le Caprice will be opening in a different location at The Chancery Rosewood hotel in Mayfair. Both the hotel and the restaurant are expected to launch in June 2025. Whilst the new version of Le Caprice will retain the essence of the original, it'll be an updated venue for modern times.

The main restaurant will be set across two floors with space for 120 guests, with room for a further 88 guests on the year-round outside terrace. The menu is set to feature modern takes on classic Le Caprice recipes such as bang bang chicken, steak tartare, and salmon fishcakes, plus many more options to satisfy a variety of dining preferences. We'll bring you more information about the opening of this much-celebrated restaurant as it becomes available.
