After almost 40 years, the historic Battersea Power Station is set to reopen on October 14. The decommissioned landmark has undergone extensive redevelopment and will be relaunched as a retail, leisure and residential destination that is expected to draw visitors from around the world.
Europe’s largest brick building, the Grade II listed Battersea Power Station will house a number of retailers, including high-street brands, a specialist bookstore and more, as well as a broad range of culinary delights, entertainment venues and leisure services. It will also boast Lift 109, a special glass elevator that will take you to the top of one of the signature chimneys for a birds-eye look at the Power Station itself.
The London icon will be celebrating its relaunch on October 14 with a variety of events and performances during the opening weekend and the following weekend. Expect to see different acts to take to the Pavilion Stage in Power Station Park throughout the weekends, as well as to bump into various buskers as you explore the area. On opening day, the Arcadia Lords of Lightning will also be performing their spectacular high-voltage show in the evening.
