Renowned snowdrop specialist and artist John Morley is currently displaying his deep-rooted passion for plants to the walls of the Garden Museum in a rare solo exhibition – his first in over 30 years. He's widely known for his stunning garden in Suffolk, home to more than 300 varieties of snowdrops, as well as daffodils, fritillaries, and auriculas. Morley turns his encyclopaedic botanical knowledge into delicate and detailed artworks, and now you can see it for yourself until 20 April.
This floral exhibition offers a unique glimpse into Morley's world, showcasing paintings and pastels celebrating the beauty of flowers, fruits, and garden plants. Many of these works have never been seen by the public before, making the exhibition a special occasion for art lovers and gardening enthusiasts.

“I have never thought of myself as an artist who gardens or as a gardener who paints - the two are just naturally interchangeable. The peace and harmony to be found in the garden is reflected in my paintings.”- John Morley
All works will be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting the Garden Museum's learning and exhibition programmes. It's a fitting tribute to a life spent nurturing both gardens and art.
