A new cultural event series, Leadenhall Live, has commenced at The Leadenhall Building, commonly referred to as The Cheesegrater. Running until the end of the month, this initiative aims to enhance the Square Mile's reputation as a lively hub, benefiting professionals, residents, and visitors alike.
Curated by Savills with support from Ch!lled Agency, the series is hosted in the 30-metre-high public galleria at the base of the iconic skyscraper. The setting, surrounded by landmarks such as the Gherkin, Lloyds of London, and The Scalpel, provides an inspiring backdrop for the programme.
The event line-up features over a dozen free-to-attend sessions, including talks by notable figures such as media personality Jamie Laing, AI expert Daniel Hulme, journalist Vicky Spratt, and comedian Athena Kugblenu. Events typically conclude by 7pm.
Musical performances throughout the month include live dance music by Michael Sebastian and jazz from Isobel Gathercole. Sebastian has previously supported acts like James Blake and Jamie XX, while Gathercole is a regular at London's top jazz venues.
In conjunction with the Eastern City BID's Summer of Sport, the programme also offers health and wellness classes, such as Hot Stepping with Hot Steppers UK and SoulCycle sessions. Antidote LDN will conduct workshops on topics like breath work and managing workplace stress.
