On select days throughout the year, Hampton Court Palace throws open the doors to its garden and welcomes visitors for free, no ticket required.

Formerly the home of the infamous Henry VIII, Hampton Court is a stunning Grade I-listed royal palace surrounded by more than 800 acres of gorgeous parkland. Its gardens and grounds include a beautiful fountain, an 18-th century kitchen garden, a pond, an orangery with exotic plants, and more.

Though you usually need to book a ticket to visit the gardens, the Palace hosts Garden Open Days several times a year, letting in visitors for free to experience the memorable landscape for themselves. You can find the full list of Garden Open Days in 2025 on the right-hand side up top, or head over to their website for more information.
