Farringdon's brilliant Origin City – a family-run, nose-to-tail, pasture-to-plate restaurant – has just launched something seriously special for seafood lovers: a weekly oyster tasting menu. And trust us, it's shuckin' good.

Thanks to their close ties with Loch Fyne and the aquafarms of Argyll in Scotland, Origin City gets the freshest oysters delivered every single week. The menu changes depending on what's just come in, so each visit gives you a new variety to slurp and shuck your way through.

The oysters come with your pick of sides, think tangy lemon, Tabasco, apple balsamic, nam jim, or sriracha ketchup, all of which are available Tuesday to Friday from 3–6pm and Saturdays from 4–7pm. It's £2 per oyster or £21 for a dozen. Available until they run out.

And while you're there, their seasonal menu is worth taking a peek at – all the meat comes from the family's 600-acre farm in Argyll, and includes heritage breed varieties like Tamworth pork, Texel hogget and Black Angus beef. Highlights include hand-dived scallops with fennel purée and arancini, crab and chips, and braised beef neck with crispy potato and truffle jus.
