As of May 2023, Tom Sellers, the acclaimed chef and restauranteur who tells the stories of British food at his two-Michelin-starred restaurant Story, will be in charge of Mayfair's new restaurant Dovetale.
Dovetale will be a part of 1 Hotel Mayfair, the first European flagship by the luxury lifestyle brand. In addition to the restaurant, the hotel next to Green Park will house 181 lavishly appointed rooms and suites, a cocktail bar, a Bamford spa, a gym, multiple event spaces with state-of-the-art technology, and other facilities.
At his new restaurant, Sellers will continue to highlight his commitment to sustainable dining and seasonality. Unlike Story's tasting menus, Dovetale will stick to an à la carte menu, supported by grilled specialities and a raw bar. You'll be able to complement your meal with a fine vintage off the extensive wine list, while a knickerbocker glory trolley promises to bring a dash of culinary excitement right to you, with the classic dessert made tableside. The restaurant will also boast a garden terrace for al fresco relaxation.
