Hutong unveils special Mid-Autumn Festival menu: Sept 12-25
Published 12 Sep 2024
To celebrate the start of Autumn, Hutong has created a special Mid-Autumn sharing menu, available on the 33rd floor of The Shard from September 12 to 25. The Mid-Autumn Festival, also called Zhongqiu Jie in Chinese and commonly known as the Mooncake or Moon Festival, is traditionally celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month in the Chinese calendar. This year, it falls on September 17.
The new menu costs £90 per person and is inspired by the rich tapestry of Northern Chinese cuisine. It's set to take guests on a journey through the flavours and traditions of Northern China while they enjoy the views of the surrounding jaw-dropping London skyline.
Highlights include deep-fried eel puffs with tobiko, chilled thinly cut marinated beef shank with chilli and coriander, and pan-seared sea bass with pickled sweet and spicy sauce. The menu also includes steamed pork ribs wrapped in glutinous rice, wok-tossed green chilli pepper, and stir-fried egg noodles with bean sprouts. Your sweet tooth hasn't been neglected; dessert includes a special Moon Cake to signify the occasion.
The special Mid-Autumn sharing menu is available from 12th - 25th September and costs £90 per person.
