Indo-Chinese restaurant Dalchini unveils speakeasy bar and new afternoon tea

Dalchini, the UK's pioneering, authentic Indo-Chinese restaurant, is pleased to announce the opening of its speakeasy bar, Holy Brew. Dalchini is located in Wimbledon and has been a culinary highlight for locals since 2000, known for its fusion of Chinese ingredients with Indian spices and aromas.

Holy Brew pays homage to the ancient art of drink-making, drawing inspiration from Indian mythology and tradition. Each cocktail is crafted to reflect its mythological inspirations: Shiva's Trance, a combination of gin, basil, and coriander with a hint of chilli, embodies the transformative powers of Lord Shiva; Varuni's Elixir, a mix of vodka, cucumber, and mint with a touch of cumin, is inspired by Varuni, the goddess of wine and soma; and Kali's Fury, a fiery combination of tequila, tamarind, and black pepper, captures the fierce spirit of the goddess Kali.

In addition to launching Holy Brew, Dalchini has also introduced an exciting new afternoon tea menu that pairs British tradition with Indo-Chinese flavours. Finger sandwiches feature grilled Mediterranean vegetables, complemented by Indian and Chinese snacks such as aloo mutter samosa, sesame prawn toast, and crispy chilli garlic paneer. If you've got a sweet tooth, there's also lots to look forward to, including freshly baked raisin and cheddar scones with Cornish clotted cream and strawberry jam, alongside in-house baked chocolate and vanilla muffins, brownies, and fruit tea cake. Choose from a wide selection of world teas, including black tea from Sri Lanka, oolong from Taiwan, and camomile tea from Egypt, or opt for a glass of Prosecco.
