The Pot Luck Club, a cult favourite and top contender for Cape Town's best restaurant, is making its UK debut with a three-month residency at The Waldorf Hilton in Aldwych, bringing a tasty slice of Cape Town to London.
If you haven't visited Cape Town lately, The Pot Luck Club sits atop the sixth floor of the Old Biscuit Mill, with sweeping skyline views and a spot on the 'World's 50 Best Restaurants Discovery List' back in 2019.
It's helmed by the acclaimed British-born chef Luke Dale Roberts, with Sous Chef Rachel Maroun leading the three-month residency. For this London stint, the hotel's Homage restaurant undergoes a complete makeover, accompanied by a mouthwatering menu of dishes such as smoked beef fillet with truffle café au lait, Cape Malay-spiced vegetables, and even Springbok tataki – a nod to South African heritage.
And it's not just about the food. The Wild Monkey bar team is collaborating to create a cocktail menu that perfectly complements the food. Think cordials made in-house and the freshest seasonal ingredients.
The Pot Luck Club pop-up at The Waldorf Hilton opens on 13 August, running until November.
