London's biggest free festival is back, and it's celebrating its tenth year. Urban Village Fete returns to Greenwich Peninsula on Sunday 18 May, for a day packed with great music, food, workshops and lots of family-friendly fun.
This year, DJ Gilles Peterson is headlining, with sets from Touching Bass, Jack Hemingway, and the London Soul Choir also on the list. BBC Radio London's Robert Elms will host a series of creative talks featuring some of the city's smartest figures.
There will also be more than 40 hands-on workshops, from pottery painting to kimchi-making, plus competitions like the Wonky Veg Show and the Allympics. Kids (and grown-ups) can enjoy everything from braid bars to circus dog tricks.
Into wellness? Get stuck into group workouts, breathwork and rooftop wheelchair basketball, or unwind with a massage or herbal tea blending session.
The best part? It's all completely free, and easy to reach via North Greenwich tube, Uber Boat, or even a picturesque ride on the cable car. You can also hop on Superloop bus routes 108 and 129 for free travel from Lewisham, Stratford and Canary Wharf.
