Acclaimed Scandinavian restaurant group Punk Royale will launch its debut UK location in Mayfair, taking over the space that used to be Amethyst.

Punk Royale originally launched in Stockholm a decade ago and quickly became notorious for its irreverent approach to fine dining. They serve lengthy tasting menus where you never know what's coming next, what it'll look like, or even how you'll eat it – licking it off the back of your hand, perhaps, while smoke billows around you and the smiley-shaped dish gives you serious side-eye. Meanwhile, the graffitied walls and chaotic setting just add to the post-apocalyptic vibes of the immersive dining experience. It's not all just for show, however, as the excessive theatrical flair is merely an extension of the creativity and imagination applied in the kitchen – the Stockholm restaurant actually ranks among the Top 100 restaurants in the city over at our sister site.
After having expanded across Scandinavia (to Copenhagen in 2018 and Oslo in 2022), Punk Royale is now ready to cross over to these shores. They're launching in Mayfair's Sackville Street, just off Piccadilly Circus, with an estimated launch sometime this autumn. We'll have more details on it, including how to book, once available. This one's sure to be in high demand, so stay tuned!
