Rooftop Film Club reveals this year's open-air cinema programme

It might be hard to believe it right now, but warmer weather is just around the corner. All the signs are here – flowers are bursting into bloom, birds are chirping, joggers are cautiously exposing their calves, and outdoor cinemas have begun revealing their schedules for the 2024 spring/summer season.

The Rooftop Film Clubs, found in Peckham and Stratford, are a prime example of the latter. These popular open-air cinemas, which complement their screenings with stunning rooftop views, have just announced this year's programme for both venues. The films screened this year encompass a wide range for all ages and tastes, from classics such as “Amelie”, “Clueless”, and “Jurassic Park”, to award-winning new releases such as “Poor Things” or “Everything Everywhere All at Once.”

Modern blockbusters are well-represented too – if you missed either part of Barbenheimer back when both “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” were in regular cinemas, you can now do complete the double bill on a rooftop. Meanwhile, families will be able to enjoy timeless releases such as “Ratatouille” or “Back to the Future.” As usual, all Rooftop Film Club screenings come equipped with comfy deckchairs, personal headphones, a full bar, and street food.

The Rooftop Film Club at Roof East will launch on Thursday 18 April, followed by the Bussey Building a week later, on Thursday 25 April. Tickets for both venues are already on sale – book here.
