It's been a long time coming, but Taco Bros has finally landed a permanent home in East Finchley. This third-generation, family-run taqueria has evolved from humble market stalls to food trucks, winning hearts along the way and even taking home 'Judge's Choice Best Taqueria' at the 2025 Tacover Festival.
The East Finchley restaurant brings the Taco Bros story vividly to life, with walls decked out in family photos, lucha libre masks, and trinkets brought over from Mexico. But it's the menu that really steals the show. Brothers Emiliano and Fred opened Taco Bros in honour of their grandmother, a badass quesadilla slinger in Mexico City, and every dish celebrates her recipes and culinary legacy.
Tacos are served on corn tortillas, while quesadillas and burritos come on soft flour tortillas packed with chicken tinga, carne asada, carnitas, or chile mushrooms. The chicken tinga taco is particularly juicy and tender, while rotating specials like mole carnitas or chicharrón tacos are not to be missed.
Beyond the East Finchley spot, Taco Bros also run a food truck at Southbank Centre Food Market from Friday to Sunday, so you can also pick up their legendary street food on the move.
