Marylebone's sleek Japanese restaurant Taka is switching up its usual suave vibe and transforming into a classic boozer for a day on 30 June.

The kitchen is taking its premium ingredients and giving them a casual twist with its "Taka Izakaya" menu featuring proper pub food with a Japanese flair, including a rich Wagyu burger, a monkfish sando, fries with spicy mayo, and gyoza served alongside a yuzu kosho apple ponzu. A sneak preview of the pub snacks will be available on 25 June, when the team will be pulling draught pints of Asahi and Guinness at standard pub prices for the first time at Taka, alongside a selection of creative cocktails.

Walk-ins are welcome, but if you want to make sure you snag a spot for this one-off event, book here.
