The casual rotis and curries spot from the team behind The Tamil Prince and Tamil Crown, Tamila, first opened in Battersea late last year, and now they're excited to be expanding with a second location near King's Cross.

Staying true to its roots, the new restaurant will champion South Indian-inspired curries influenced by executive chef Prince Durairaj's life. Expect the same made-to-order rotis and fragrant curries, including the popular Thanjavur chicken curry and Chettinad lamb curry, as well as their famous onion bhajis and okra fries.

The new menu will also include new additions like garlic coriander naan and kulcha, plus tandoor-cooked dishes such as half tandoori chicken and tandoori paneer with pineapple chutney. The drink selection is equally impressive, with cocktails like the gunpowder margarita and Tamil negroni stealing the limelight, along with their own refreshing lager.

Tamila will also be hosting epic Thali Sundays, where you can tuck into a delicious spread of dishes such as pumpkin payir masala, mixed vegetable avial, vegetable sambar, Chettinad mutton masala, and prawn peratal.

Tamila King's Cross opens on 17 January 2025 from 5pm, with a soft launch taking place from 17-19 January, which includes 50% off food.
