The first major gig of Summer 2025 has been announced
Updated 2 Aug 2024
One of the hottest rock bands of today is taking over Finsbury Park in July.
Ever since exploding onto the scene with their critically-acclaimed debut album “Dogrel”, it's been nothing but up, up, and up for Irish post-punkers Fontaines D.C. They've released multiple highly-lauded albums since, topped the UK Album Chart, won a Brit, got nominated for a Grammy, toured the States with Arctic Monkeys, played Glasto, and more. Hailed as the voice of their generation and proudly flying the flag for independent Irish music, they're a musical force to be reckoned with, and they're bringing all that hype to bear next summer.
On Saturday 5 July, Fontaines D.C. will be headlining a huge outdoor concert in Finsbury Park, ostensibly in support of their latest album “Romance”, released in August 2024, but also as a coronation of sorts – it's their biggest headline performance to date. They'll be bringing over their Irish pals Kneecap, another act blowing up in recent months, as well as Amyl and the Sniffers, a rowdy and beloved punk rock band from Down Under. More support acts are still to be announced.
Tickets for what is sure to be one of the gigs of the summer go on general sale on 9 August via Ticketmaster.
