The Park Room gets nostalgic with its themed Christmas afternoon tea

Christmas is drawing nearer and Londoners are starting to think about how to celebrate. If a themed afternoon tea sounds like a fun way to enjoy the season, The Park Room at Grosvenor House has a nostalgia-packed special menu that'll bring all the festive magic to life. If your Christmas isn't complete without watching The Snowman (and having a good cry at the end), this is for you.

The Snowman Afternoon Tea is inspired by the much-loved classic story by Raymond Briggs. As well as a selection of delicate finger sandwiches, the tea includes plain and raisin scones served with Devonshire clotted cream and your choice of preserve, plus freshly-baked cakes. Then there's the most exciting part – an assortment of mouthwatering pastries that bring the story to life. You can expect a snowball made of sponge, a mousse with marmalade to remind you of The Snowman's nose, and a rich chocolate ganache in the shape of The Snowman himself.

Afternoon tea is served in elegant surroundings with attractive views of Hyde Park. Guests can enjoy a traditional afternoon tea experience with this special menu or there's the option to include a glass of champagne, sparkling wine, or sparkling alcohol-free wine to your experience. A themed children's afternoon tea is also available so that everyone can enjoy this seasonal treat. The special afternoon tea menu is available at The Park Room from 18th November until 7th January.
