Kanpai is the UK's first sake brewery, producing modern British sake with traditional Japanese techniques using only rice, water, yeast, and koi.

Founded in 2016 by Tom and Lucy after an inspiring trip to Japan, they refined their craft through extensive experimentation and training, initially launching their microbrewery in Peckham before moving to a larger space near London Bridge in autumn 2023. Today, Kanpai serves sake from ten taps alongside Japanese cocktails, craft beers, and snacks.

Visitors can join one of the weekly brewery tours each Saturday to discover the secrets behind Kanpai's low-intervention brewing, while those looking for a more hands-on approach can book a brewing course complete with Japanese lunch and sake tasting.
