The Bermondsey Beer Mile aperitivo bar is introducing a curated kitchen offering designed to inspire people to get the most out of moments together.

These Days, a drinks brand popularising spritzes served fast from the tap, bottle, or can, is adding a culinary offering to its flagship bar in Bermondsey. Opening mid-March, the kitchen at These Days Aperitivo Bar will be helmed by Chef Greg Weaver, an experienced chef who'll be serving dishes inspired by the kitchens he has worked at previously, including as part of The Culpeper Group and at Sydney's Japanese fusion restaurant Kissuu.

Aiming to embrace the classic social moment of Italy's aperitivo bars but without the rules and traditions that could make it inaccessible, the menu features an assortment of small plates bringing together modern European flavours. Designed to be ordered en masse and shared, the seasonal menu will change every two months, with the first iteration including:

  • House Pretzels with Aonori, Fennel, and Togarashi Seasoning,
  • Cured Trout with Rhubarb Ponzu,
  • Jerusalem Artichokes with Wild Mushroom & Onsen Egg,
  • Veal Escalope with Sauerkraut,
  • Celeriac with Miso & Radish,
  • Dark Chocolate Ganache with Blood Orange & Sage,
  • and the bar's signature dish, Popcorn Cockles, which will always be on the menu.

If you want to go all-in, you can order the full menu for £85. To complement the food, you can choose from These Days' range of spritzes, classic aperitifs, fine wines, and a monthly “Kitchen Cocktail” special.

These Days Aperitivo Bar will be offering table service with 52 covers, as well as a seasonal outdoor terrace with an additional 30, opening in April. The dining offer launches on 14 March.
