London's Napoli on the Road sliced through the competition at the Top 50 Pizza Europe awards for the second year in a row.
Run by acclaimed pizzaiolo Michele Pascarella, Napoli on the Road has two branches in London, in Chiswick and Richmond, and serves authentic pizzas with toppings ranging from classic to signature Pascarella creations. The pizzeria took top honours at last year's Top 50 Pizza Europe ceremony, awarded by the influential Top 50 Pizza guide, and followed that up by placing fifth in the Top 50 Pizza World rankings. At the 2025 awards, presented in Madrid, Napoli on the Road again took the top spot, which means it's automatically included in the Top 100 Best Pizzerias in the World, the exact ranking of which will be revealed on 8 September in, where else, Naples.
In addition to Napoli on the Road, two more London pizzerias made the Top 50 Europe list. 50 Kalò di Ciro Salvo missed out on the top spot by just a few places, coming in fourth and also qualifying for the Top 100 World selection. Meanwhile, Hampstead's L'Antica Pizzeria came in at #25.
