This September, The Wigmore at The Langham is hosting a 'Toastie Takeover' series, where a guest chef reimagines the humble toastie. This month, the spotlight falls on James Mackenzie, chef-patron of the Michelin-starred Pipe and Glass Inn, who has turned the British gastropub classic into an autumnal masterpiece.

Mackenzie's limited-edition sarnie layers salt beef brisket, Yorkshire Blue cheese, rhubarb pickle, watercress and a pickled red onion salad, offering a toastie that nods to the changing season while celebrating The Wigmore's reputation as the home of the posh toastie.

It's available throughout September for £15, with £1 from every sale donated to The Burnt Chef Project, supporting mental health within the hospitality industry. It's a delicious twist on a favourite, and a must-try for toastie lovers.
