Vegan dining is becoming more and more popular across London and the whole of the UK, and with growing demand comes more places to eat. Borough Market restaurant Mallow, from the same team as the much-loved Mildreds restaurants, has just announced that a second restaurant will be opening in Canary Wharf. The first branch opened in November 2021.
Like the original restaurant, the new Mallow location will focus on seasonal and sustainable plant-based cuisine. It'll have space for 100 diners across two floors plus another 50 on the outdoor terrace. Whilst the ground floor will have the light and airy feel we've come to expect from Mallow and Mildreds, the upper floor will be low-lit and more intimate.
On the menu you can expect to see some old favourites from the Borough Market location, as well as some exclusives. New dishes like spinach dahi puri and aubergine muhamammara borek with tabouleh are set to be on the menu. Full details are still to be announced but the restaurant is due to open in the summer.
