Throughout the year, the dedicated team at Black History Walk offers educating guided walking tours across the city that focus on areas selected for their importance in Black History.

Your expert guide will delve into topics spanning architecture, freedom, slavery, and much more as you explore London's diverse history. For instance, the Hackney Black History Walk focuses on the impact of the 70 years since the arrival of the SS Windrush from the Caribbean. Another walk, the "Image of the Black in Tate Britain", aims to dissect the role of Black presence in British art.

Other area tours are available, including Tooting, Soho, Croydon Mayfair, and Notting Hill, as well as tours centred around theatreland, highlighting the Black performers and productions that have graced the stages of London's West End theatres. There's also a three-hour cruise along the Thames from Temple to Greenwich and back, which shows the thousands of years of African/Caribbean history on display.
