As the days get longer and the sun sticks around a little later, now's the perfect time to get stuck into something new – and Humble Grape's summer line-up of wine tastings is a very good place to start. They've got six locations dotted around London, where they're all about celebrating small, independent vineyards and stocking bottles you won't find at your average offie (we're talking over 600 sustainable, organic and biodynamic wines).
Whether you're a seasoned sommelier or still figuring out your favourite bottle, Humble Grape's events allow everyone to get stuck onto the world of wine no matter their level of expertise. May kicks off with a deep dive into Spanish wine, from bold Tempranillos to lesser-known varieties from Bierzo (£64pp). June brings an exclusive Founder's Cellar Dinner at the Crouch End branch (£157pp), with rare wines, a three-course feast, and a chance to hear from founder James Dawson himself. The Portugal tasting (£64pp) offers a more low-key way to explore the region's grapes.
Then, in July, Germany steals the limelight with crisp Rieslings and minimal-intervention bottles from the acclaimed Weingut Von Winning estate, whose rep Oskar Micheletti is flying over to host a couple of special tastings (£64pp) and a wine-paired supper club (£126pp).
