Warm up for the festival summer with Wide Awake's free concerts

Wide Awake, an annual summer festival celebrating the best in independent music and rising talent, is throwing a month of free gigs to help you get over the winter gloom.

In collaboration with partner venues MOTH Club, The Shacklewell Arms, and Rich Mix, Wide Awake has put together a month-long series of free gigs showcasing some of the buzziest up-and-coming bands on the underground circuit right now. Across a series of winter weekends, you'll be able to rock up to one of the above-mentioned venues and rock out to an exciting line-up – for free. Here's the full list of dates, line-ups, and venues:

  • 12 January – Plantoid, Sheiva, Ray Laurél, Gzi Wisdom at MOTH Club
  • 19 January – Sunken, Unlucky, Bug Teeth at MOTH Club
  • 27 January – Paige Kennedy, Uh, Dek at The Shacklewell Arms
  • 17 February – The New Eves, Hannah Rodgers, El Madrid at Rich Mix

As mentioned, all of the Wide Awake pre-parties are free to enter, just RSVP on Dice to secure your spot.

Wide Awake 2024 is taking place in Brockwell Park on Saturday 25 May, with King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Slowdive, Young Fathers, Modeselektor, Sevdaliza, and Squid among the big names announced so far.
