Since first launching with just six small installations in 2015, Winter Lights has grown into one of the most popular and respected light art festivals in the country.

Catering to everyone from art lovers to those who merely whet their appetite for pretty lighting during the festive season, the Winter Lights festival returns to Canary Wharf for its 10th edition this week, inviting Londoners to explore a free evening trail of striking installations. Crafted by leading international artists, this year's edition features 16 installations embodying the theme “Dreamscape,” taking visitors on an escapist journey through ethereal experiences.

The festival stretches across the entire Canary Wharf estate and runs daily from 5 to 10 pm. Entry is free, but weekends tend to draw big crowds, so weekday visits are your best bet for a calmer wander. As always, local restaurants, bars, and other business will be offering special deals throughout the duration of the festival, so it's worth checking them out. You can find out more on the festival website here.
