The business was originally launched by Robert Lewis in 1787 and acquired by James J. Fox in the early 90s. Over the decades, the cigar merchant has catered to a wide range of clients, including notable historical figures such as Winston Churchill, Oscar Wilde, and numerous film, theatre, and music stars.

At the flagship James J. Fox cigar shop in St James's Street, customers can browse a vast range of Cuban and New World cigars, including various limited editions and special products exclusive to James J. Fox.
