The first international venture of globally acclaimed pastry chef Cédric Grolet, his patisserie at the 5-star Berkeley hotel features his exquisite trompe-l'œil creations, Fruits and Flowers – desserts that look like the ingredients they’re made from. They’re made fresh and available “first come, first served”, so best get there early. The patisserie also offers a tasting menu, where you sit around the counter in the so-called “pastry lab” setting and watch the chefs put the finishing touches on your treats.
