These eateries have comfortable and contemporary seating areas where you can enjoy typical chicken shop meals with a vegan twist, including a bucket of chicken for an authentic feel. A choice of sides are available too, and you can also order delivery.

The Signature Brew brewery in Walthamstow is kicking 2026 off by teaming up with Feed the Village and Fat Gay Vegan to bring together some of London's most popular plant-based street food. Whether you're fully committed to vegan living or just testing the waters for Veganuary, the street-food festival on 4 January promises plenty of crowd-pleasing bites and drinks – including Signature Brew's own vegan beer – to suit everyone.

Mildreds is a go-to restaurant group for vegans in London, originating in Soho but now with multiple locations. For Veganuary this year, they've teamed up with their Covent Garden neighbours Crust Bros for a pizza collab inspired by their signature burrito. The pizza, available at all Crust Bros locations until 9 February, uses Mildreds' smoky chipotle and vegan chorizo as a base, and layers on vegan mozzarella and an avocado crema.

Japanese cuisine is often heavy on seafood but there's no need to miss out during your Veganuary journey if you head to Itadakizen. This traditionally styled and cosy restaurant is the first vegan Japanese eatery in Europe. You'll find a range of authentic plant-based recipes like tofu steak, vegan gyoza, and ramen bowls.

If you're missing pizza during Veganuary, grab a vegan pie at modern plant-based pizzeria Purezza. This Camden restaurant has won awards and most of the menu is also gluten-free. Ingredients are sourced locally where possible and pizzas are served in a smart rustic restaurant.
