More than just a golf course

Swingers is one of the city's most popular spots to play a round of mini golf. But it's more than just a place to swing a club; there's also mouthwatering street food and a range of fruity cocktails to keep you fuelled. At the city branch, there are two courses modelled on a classic 1920s English golf club, including The Windmill and The Lighthouse, both of which are chock full of challenges to keep you more than entertained. At the West End branch, there are three courses modelled on the British seaside, with even more quirks to keep you challenged.

  • 8 Brown's Buildings, The City/City of London 15 John Prince's Street, Marylebone

Four funky golfing spots

Each Plonk venue has a wacky nine-hole course kitted out with twists, turns, nooks and crannies to keep you entertained. The Hackney branch has a Tiki Club House and retro arcade, whilst the Borough Market branch is the largest indoor venue to date, decked out with vibrant graffiti murals and a course that takes you through the city's most famous landmarks. The Shoreditch course is their newest, and has a games bar chock full of arcade machines, pinballs and state-of-the-art 4D ping pong tables.

  • 177 Hoxton Street, Shoreditch Arches B-E, Montague Close, Southwark Arch 407 Mentmore Terrace, Hackney/Dalston

Mr Mulligan's Dino Golf

Dino-themed fun

Take a trip back in time, approximately 66 million years, back to when the dinosaurs ruled planet Earth. Or, take a trip to Mr Mulligan's Dino Golf on the outskirts of the city, where the prehistoric beasts surround two epic 18-hole outdoor courses. Challenge yourself over bridges and ramps, and navigate challenges as you go. There's also a café for satisfying the hunger pangs pre- or post-game.

Dragon Quest Adventure Golf

For the dragon slayers

If you prefer dragons to dinosaurs, you'll want to check out Dragon Quest Adventure Golf in Croydon. This fantasy golf course includes 18 holes enveloped by dragon-themed landscaping, including pathways imprinted with giant dragon footprints and jutting tails. It's ideal for children with wild imaginations; you can even book parties for your kids, where you can bring along your own food and cake.

State-of-the-art golfing

Puttshack takes mini golf up a notch with their high-tech tracking courses and themed holes. It's all about modern technology here, which creates a one-of-a-kind golfing experience at both Puttshack venues in White City and Bank. Expect things like trivia quizzes upon potting a ball and beer-pong rounds. There's also food and drinks for pre- or post-game snacking.

  • 1 Poultry, The City/City of London Westfield, Ariel Way, Hammersmith and Fulham

Fun around the city

There are four Putt in the Park courses around the city, in Gunnersbury, Acton, Wandsworth and Battersea, all offering something slightly different. At Gunnersbury, you can expect manicured astroturf, bumpy ramps, craggy boulders and pools, whilst, at Wandsworth, you can play under the canopy of Wandsworth Park trees. The Battersea and Acton courses are also fun, and they also have iconic pizzerias where you can chomp on Italian pizza after a challenging round of golf.

  • Bowls Green Pavilion, Gunnersbury Park, Popes Lane, Hounslow East Churchfield Road, Ealing Wandsworth Park, Putney Bridge Road, Wandsworth/Putney Albert Bridge Road, Battersea

Kooky holes and 90s bangers

Birdie's Crazy Golf can be enjoyed in two locations around the city: Battersea and Angel, both contemporary venues boasting surrealist-style, kooky, nine-hole courses for all levels. They play strictly 90s and 00s bangers on the speakers, bringing all the throwback vibes whilst serving street food and cocktails to enjoy throughout your game.

  • 6 Arches Lane, Vauxhall/Battersea 21 Parkfield St, Islington

Roof East

Only available in the summer

In the summer months, Roof East opens its iconic nine-hole golf course at its rooftop bar in the heart of Stratford. Try your hand at putting and making your way around the course before settling in for drinks and street food. It's a lively spot and is particularly popular in the summer, complete with a range of games, like arrows, bowls and topple blocks.

Mini golf with added party vibes

The Junkyard Golf Clubs amp up the craziness of crazy golf with wacky courses, neon lighting, graffiti walls, and all sorts of knickknacks scavenged from charity shops. Each of the several offered courses is uniquely themed, posing a variety of challenges to keep you entertained. The bar stocks a range of snacks and whimsical cocktails, for example the Bubble-gum Sunset and the Bourbon Bakewell.
