Southwark's largest park at 56 hectares, Burgess Park was built between the 1950s and 1980s, then underwent renovation and reopened in 2012. The neighbourhood park encompasses a fishing lake, sports facilities such as various pitches, tennis courts and a BMX track, colourful play areas, a café, and renowned world gardens with community beds.
