Leighton House

In West London you can visit the Leighton House Museum, the Grade II listed home of painter Frederic Leighton. The house is decorated in an elaborate Orientalist style that's just as interesting as the various exhibitions that you can see here. Its appearance remains largely unchanged since the 19th century and it's full of interesting objects like ceramics, sculpture, and glassware. Leighton House was shortlisted for the Art Fund Museum of the Year award, the world's biggest museum prize, in 2023.
