Artusi

Artusi is a chic Peckham restaurant that serves sophisticated Italian cuisine. Opened in 2014, this venue brings the concept of the neighbourhood Italian eatery to South London. Guests are greeted by a crisp and modern interior with menus written by hand on blackboards, along with a large table that sits directly in front of the kitchen to accommodate bigger groups. This is a welcoming venue that encourages people to come together.

The menu at Artusi uses seasonal produce, including locally-sourced ingredients. Wines are imported directly from Italy, with bottles available from regions throughout the country. The menu changes weekly but always features fresh ingredients and pasta made in-house every day.

The simple menu here includes four courses – go for a traditional Italian-style meal or enjoy a pasta dish as a main course. Every course on the carefully-curated menu includes a vegetarian option. At lunchtime a reduced version of the menu is served and on Sundays you can savour a three course set menu. For group bookings at the kitchen table for between eight and eighteen people, you can enjoy a unique sharing menu starring a selection of highlights from the menu that day.

The wine list at Artusi is well-considered, and whilst the emphasis is on Italian wines you can also find vintages from other regions, including France and Wales. Sparkling and orange wines are available too. This is a pared-back, contemporary setting where you can get a fresh perspective on Italian cuisine.
