Café Van Gogh
Café Van Gogh is a vegan eatery and non-profit social enterprise in Brixton. The restaurant works in partnership with a charity to provide on-the-job employment training for adults with learning disabilities and mental health problems. Café Van Gogh also aims to be a zero waste establishment and only uses fully compostable coffee cups and takeaway packaging. Plus, customers can choose to pay for a hot drink in advance for someone else who is less able to afford one.
Whilst Café Van Gogh puts plenty of effort into social initiatives, this in no way means that the food is neglected. You'll discover a selection of all-day dining menus that change regularly and are completely plant-based. Lunch and dinner menus are offered including small plates and larger meals – expect vegan takes on burgers, shawarma, and ma po tofu.
A simple breakfast menu is available on weekdays, with light options like avocado toast and a vegan sausage sandwich. An all-day brunch, including a full English breakfast, is served on Saturdays and on Sundays there's a traditional Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available, with only vegan beers and wines on the menu.
Café Van Gogh is a humble venue with a heart serving internationally-inspired food. Enjoy your meal in a comfortable and relaxed setting that's full of character. The impressive ceiling is inspired by the paintings of Vincent van Gogh. You can also hold events and private dining at this friendly local eatery.
