Kismet

Head upstairs at The Globe Tavern for its latest long-term residency, Kismet. Inspired by Istanbul and North Cypriot cooking, this venture by restaurateur Dom Hamdy (Crispin) and chef Keiran Mustafa (Bibi, The Harwood Arms) has a traditional Turkish tavern feel to it, especially when the weekly live music session kicks off. Served in design-conscious setting with nicotine-stained walls, soft lighting, and dark wood furnishings, the menu features classic mezze, hefty mains with tempting sides such as Cypriot fried potatoes, and baklava and other decadent desserts to finish. The drinks list, meanwhile, goes heavy on the raki spirits.
