It feels like the accolades for Kol started piling up on opening day and haven't stopped since. First it was a highly-anticipated opening, then one of the best restaurants in Marylebone, then one of the best Mexican restaurants in all of London, and finally one of the best restaurants in the entire world, snagging a Michelin star on the way as well. It's all the more impressive considering the restaurant launch in 2020, in the depths of the pandemic crisis.

That proved no obstacle for Chef Patron Santiago Lastra. His Marylebone restaurant is renowned for its innovative approach, combining traditional Mexican culinary techniques with the finest British ingredients to create a unique dining experience. The menu emphasises seasonality and sustainability, showcasing dishes that reflect the vibrant flavours of Mexican cuisine while honouring the local British landscape. 

The interior of Kol features an open kitchen, allowing diners to observe the culinary craftsmanship firsthand, and is adorned with warm, earthy tones and natural materials, creating an inviting and elegant atmosphere. In addition to the main dining area, Kol offers private dining options, including a chef's table experience that provides an intimate setting for guests to enjoy a personalized menu curated by Chef Lastra. The restaurant also houses the Mezcaleria, a subterranean bar that boasts one of the UK's finest collections of agave spirits, offering a curated selection of cocktails that complement the dining experience.
