At the 2025 edition of The World's 50 Best Restaurants list, revealed on 19 June in Turin, the two London entries almost swapped their overall ranking.

This means that the highest-ranked London restaurant on the referential list is now Jeremy Chan's Ikoyi at #15, up from #42 in 2024. Its big leap also means it won this year's Highest Climber Award. Meanwhile, Santiago Lastra's Kol dropped from last year's high of #17 to #49, barely still scraping into The World's 50 Best Restaurants.

Just like in 2024, these are the only two London – or UK – restaurants in the Top 50, though you'll also find Mountain and The Clove Club in the Top 100 (#74 and #86, respectively).

As for the top of the list, the best restaurant of 2025 according to The World's 50 Best is chef Mitsuharu Tsumura's Maido in Lima, serving Amazonian-influenced Nikkei fusion. You can view the full list here.

Congratulations to all the winners!
